Overview
The Designers Contribution Graph lets people visualise their Figma file history across all their selected projects, folders and teams.
Idea
Software engineers have GitHub, which has a graph shows how often someone commits code/contributes to their projects. I see Figma as designers' GitHub, so I wondered: can I visualise Figma activity in a GitHub-like contribution graph?
Process
When I have an idea of how I want something to look, I start in Figma before I build.
I used GitHub's graph to get the basics of what the plugin needed.
I used Figma's style so that it would feel native to the tool.
I copied the finished design into Claude Code to build the UI, with the functionality built afterwards.
Key Moment
One of the biggest problems I hit early on was that question. You can see your own Figma history, cool, but that's all it could do. So I built the share function to address that
Result
Software engineers often display their GitHub contribution graphs on their portfolios, so I built an export function to let designers do the same. You can export your graph as an image, as HTML/CSS/React, or as a CSV to build your own.
